1. What is Teacher Seow's teaching style?
Teacher Seow adopts an exam-focused and results-oriented teaching approach. As the saying goes, “practice makes perfect”—students are expected to practise regularly to achieve steady improvement.
As every child has different learning needs, lessons are customised to each student, aligned with what they are currently learning in school. Teaching is structured for progressive, long-term learning.
Lessons typically involve discussions and bite-sized practices during class, with additional work assigned as homework to reinforce learning. Homework is essential, and detailed feedback will be provided to help students improve further.
Most importantly, students must be willing to put in consistent effort, complete assigned work, and attend lessons regularly for meaningful progress.
2. How fast can my child improve?
In general, many students show noticeable improvement and are able to achieve their desired grades within a few months.
There are no shortcuts to mastering a language. Learning Chinese is like gardening—it takes time, patience, and consistent nurturing. As students also juggle multiple subjects, improvement depends on how much they absorb during lessons and how diligently they complete their homework.
With a positive learning attitude and determination, Teacher Seow is confident in helping your child achieve his or her desired results.
3. What's the recommended duration and frequency for lessons for students who need more support?
The recommended lesson duration is 2 hours per session, once a week.
For students who require more help, having lessons twice a week is strongly recommended for faster and more effective progress.
4. Does Teacher Seow conduct tuition online?
Yes. Online lessons are conducted via Zoom, and students complete their work using Google Docs. Online tuition is just as effective as physical lessons.
5. How much is the tuition fee?
Please contact us directly for a quotation, as fees vary depending on the student’s level and lesson arrangement.
6. Does Teacher Seow provide his own teaching materials?
Yes. Worksheets are provided at no additional cost.
However, if there is a need to purchase commercial assessment books or Ten-Year Series materials, these will be payable by the parent.
7. What are the mode/frequency of payment for tuition fees?
Fees can be paid via PayNow. You may choose to pay after each lesson or at the end of each month.
If you engage Teacher Seow through certified tuition agencies, the agency will issue the invoice and collect their commission directly. Any remaining fees can be arranged directly with Teacher Seow.
8. I'm keen to engage Teacher Seow as my tutor for my child. How can I do so?
